Job description
Performs a wide variety of clerical support services to facilitate the efficient operation of the Athletic Department, while maintaining confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities
(These duties and responsibilities are judged to be “essential functions” in terms of the Americans With Disabilities Act or ADA)
Assist in scheduling, confirming, and contracting for all athletic events and responsible to revise scheduled events that are cancelled.
Assist in contracting officials for home events for the high school and middle schools and scheduling of buses for away events.
Assists in maintaining and monitoring coaching roster and facilitating paperwork completion.
Prepares schedules and rosters for all teams and prepares them for distribution.
Maintains athletes’ district and state eligibility list i.e. physical, code of conduct, academics, suspensions, etc.
Collect and process all payments associated with Athletics and track records for each athletic team.
Prepares and processes all district forms and vouchers for game officials and Arbiter
Update athletic telephone hotline.
Processes purchase orders.
Process school business forms for Athletic Coaches for games/matches/tournaments.
Maintain and monitor all athletic internal account expense ASN’s.
Composes and prepares school correspondence, standard documents and forms and other written materials including typing, compiling, printing, copying and distributing athletic-related school letters, flyers, brochures, newsletters and/or certificates.
Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, scanners, computers, printers, calculators, facsimile machines, voicemail systems, and telephones.
Communicate with customers, employees, students, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and address complaints.

Education:
This position requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
One year of related experience providing clerical support in an office setting required.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of basic math, required.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services, required.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures, required.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar, required.
Knowledge of Macomb Area Conference and the Michigan High School Athletic Association, preferred.

Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret district policies, guidelines, handbook, and government regulations, required.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, required.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, required.
