
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official IBPS Clerk 2025 notification on 31st July 2025. This year, IBPS has changed the name of the clerk post to Customer Service Associate (CSA). The exam is called CRP-CSA XV and will be conducted to recruit 10,277 clerks in 11 public sector banks.
This exam is one of the most popular bank recruitment tests in India and gives thousands of fresh graduates a chance to start a career in banking.

This year, there are 10,277 vacancies for IBPS Clerk 2025. Uttar Pradesh has the highest vacancies (1,315) followed by Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 20 to 28 years (as on 1st August 2025). Age relaxation is available for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, widows and divorced women.
- Education: Graduation in any stream from a recognised university.
- Computer Knowledge: You must have basic computer knowledge. Either you should have a certificate/diploma/degree in computers or you should have studied it in school or college.
- Language: You should know the local language of the state you are applying for.

Exam Pattern
The exam will be conducted in two stages – Prelims and Mains. There will be no interview.
Prelims Exam
- English – 30 Questions (30 Marks) – 20 Minutes
- Numerical Ability – 35 Questions (35 Marks) – 20 Minutes
- Reasoning – 35 Questions (35 Marks) – 20 Minutes
Total: 100 Marks | 1 Hour
Mains Exam (New Pattern 2025)
- Reasoning & Computer Aptitude – 40 Questions (60 Marks) – 35 Minutes
- English – 40 Questions (40 Marks) – 35 Minutes
- Quantitative Aptitude – 35 Questions (50 Marks) – 30 Minutes
- General/Financial Awareness – 40 Questions (50 Marks) – 20 Minutes
Total: 200 Marks | 120 Minutes
👉 Note: There is negative marking. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be cut.
Salary of IBPS Clerk 2025
The starting basic pay is ₹24,050. With allowances like DA, HRA, transport and medical benefits, the in-hand salary comes to around ₹40,000–₹42,000 per month.
